I personally don't drink alcohol which this set is design for but I have a friend that likes to have a night cap and thought this would make a lovely gift for him. One thing I have heard him complain about is how he likes his drink cold but the ice cubes melts and waters it down making him have to drink it faster but with this set of stones he can relax and enjoy sipping his drink.
These stones or cubes are made with stainless steel, this is why they wont melt. This is a nice set for it includes a pair of rubber tip tongs, six stones and a black drawstring bag to store them inside of when not in use or to travel with.
There are two diamond shaped which are 1.1 x 1.02" two cylindrical shape which are 1.25 x 1.02" and two cube shaped which are 1.06 x 1.06", there are the prefect size to place in a glass. They are made with high quality 304 stainless steel.
Stainless steel contains natural antibacterial properties plus stainless steel will not rust or have corrosion making them the ideal choice metal for this purpose. Now if for some reason one of the cubes starts to leak stop using it.
They are safe to place in the freezer of course and I was amazed by how fast they were frozen and ready to use. I tested them in coke and water and was very pleased with how cold they kept both drink and they didn't water my cola down making it taste better.
Making me think I should own a set of them for this purpose especially when it is hot outside ice melts really fast and ruins my drink. They would work for juice, kool-aid, punch your name it! Why you could use them to make a bag of ice for a sore place on your body and your clothing wouldn't get wet for there is no water to melt.
This set is well made for I really like how smooth each cube is for they don't have any rough edges that might scratch your drink ware. They are easy to clean with soap and water or you can place them in the dishwasher.
This would make a nice gift for your friends like Iam for mine. Everything comes in a nice box that makes it easier to wrap. A gift for the person who has it all! I do want to add that your drink won't be as cold as if using ice but it will chill your drink down. I really like how I can use them over and over.
