I love to read young adult books they are normally very exciting to read and hold my attention. If you talk to book readers this is one common thing a good book needs to be able to do. If they story can not hold your attention, then it will flop, you need a good plot with loveable characters, one to hate too plus a story to keep you guessing and wondering, making it hard to put down.
I feel like I was describing every thing this book has, I enjoyed that it comes in a paper book, E-books are nice but they can be hard to take to the poolside, or just to sit in your car at the park. I also find myself enjoying book that comes in parts, at first it drove me crazy, but I learned too that I love to have something to look forward too.
If you love magic and all the mystery that comes with it then this is the book for you. It center's around a man named Darrick Hunter, who life at best would be called dull and boring. One day he starts having a dream of a peculiar world, that is off in a distant world. He wakes up to a awesome purple sun looming in the sky. He is met by a mysterious violet eyed sorcerer, who whisks him away from earth.
He is thrown in a world of magic where nothing is as it seems, a world where Darrick is forced to comes to terms with his past and what he can do to change the future. Of course there is a mysterious beautiful lady who is a sorceress, a prince, and a swordsman that help him to stand against a treacherous world of black magic and an enemy is a master of deception.
I really enjoyed the character Halenna who is torned from her home , her former glory without any hopes of going back or is there? Torn from her home, she is afraid that she will never she it again, She will have to lean on Darren to help restore it to its former glory. This book has everything you would want, character's that you fall in love with, the ones you hate, it has magic, making it thrilling and fun to read. I found myself having hard to turning away from it, the story had characters that drew me in, the story went at a steady pace that left me wanting for me. I cant wait for volume two to come out, for the writer left me wanting for more.
