Wow these earring are very pretty with the antique look plus a retro look to me. I used to wear long earring all the time when I was in school but in the 70's for they were they rage then, that is why I say they look retro. I have long hair and I feel this helps them look nicer but this is just my opinion. I would never say just because you have short hair not buy these earring for we all have different taste.
This pair of lovely earring are 4.5" long and .88" wide that uses hooks to attach to you pierced ears. I like that the hooks are bendable for I was able to make them straighter so they wouldn't come out the back of my ears for they do come with plastic plugs that you can slip in the hook so the it wont pull forward on your ear and fall out.
I really like this for I stopped wearing the short hook because I was always losing one from it falling out and most of the time I couldn't find it back. These earring are very pretty the colors are true to the ones in the picture. They start with a small dark pink ball that is connected too lets call them tiny broaches that what they remind me of.
dark and light purple beads that are mixed with several placed garnet colored stones that just glisten making them so shining in color.You follow that too the small bronzed flower petal that has a garnet stone in the middle,That is connected to another larger shinny dark purple stone that is connected to the last one which for sure looks like a pin broach,
The stones in the last hanging off these lovely earrings has a Platinum-plated backing that has light color purple/pink stones shaped like a flower that works into larger flower whose petals go out farther away it with dark purple and clear/light purple stones. Let me mention that all these stones remind me of highly polished rhinestones.
I love how they sparkle with a lustrous shine that luminates each color of each crystal is very pretty. These earring are very eye appealing and they add a flair of style that is unique to anything I have seen in a long time. They are quite lovely and look nice with dress, sweater, why one day I wore them with a my jeans and a T-Shirt.
My girlfriends love them and want to get a pair for themselves.My daughter tell me that they are just too cool Mom. I love how they make me feel so pretty and sexy. The only thing that I don't like about them is that they can get heavy pretty fast. At first it really bother me but now that I have been wearing them alot its getting better.

They come in a black velvet drawstring bag to store them inside of for this way they wont get sratch and I know where they are.
