Its funny for I was telling my husband about a week before I got this wonderful set of flying pans that I was going to have to buy a new 8" flying pan. The last couple of times I cooked eggs in it they were sticking very badly for the Teflon was wearing off which happens to most of them over time some brands are last longer than others.
I was lucky enough to already own a 12" Green Earth flying pan and I am in love with it. When I found out the I was getting a complete set I was on cloud nine for it is the best flying pan that I have even used before.
They are made with ceramic that is safe to cook my food in for it is 100% PTFE and PFOA free. Which has a non-stick coating that is chemical free called Greblon which is made in Germany. For when it is cooking it will not emit any chemcials.
I love the inside of the flying pan for it has elevated texture which creates air pockets to even distribute the heat from the burner to enhance the cooking of the food they look like little honeycombs. I have found that I love how much heat they hold.
For my husband decided to fly some ham to go with the potatoes I cooked him and I have already turned the burner off. He didn't know this and place the meat inside and left the room for a few minutes and then went back to get it. I told him that I was sorry for I had turned the burner off I thought I was doing cooking everything.
He told me that when he went back and the meat had cooked and was nice and hot, why I was amazed. Now we both turn the heat off sooner and the food finishes cooking while we save on electricity.
I couldn't do this with my old Teflon frying pans these are great. I love the handles, they have a curved arched shaped that fits good inside my hand allowing me a good grip and the handles has a soft rubber coating so that they pan wont slip out of my hand.
This set comes with a 8", a 10" and a 12" all the right sizes that I need to cook something some like a grill cheese to flying up a mess of fried chicken. They are super easy to clean for any left over food just wipes off but this hasn't been the case so far since the food just slides right out of the pan for me when I used a untensil to remove it.
I always use silicone cooking utensils so I wont sracth the surface of the pan to prolong its life even though the coating has abrasion resistance. The are a nice green color with is ceramic that is eco-friendly for the coating doesn't emit any harmful fumes into the air making them safer to cook around my family.
I can see how they earned their name Green Earth Pan and using the color green was the right choice for them. They are very durable since they are made with heavy guage die cast aluminum with the Greblon ceramic coating.
This is the perfect set for a family just starting out in their new home, for the person that cooks all your food or the perfect wedding gift. I truly love mine for the one I owned first I have been using for a couple of months now and it looks brand new still.
Ozeri includes pan protectors, they are neat. There is one for each pan the are green felt material that will keep the bottom of the pans from rubbing each other. They are shaped like a giant flower petals that flows out and cover the entire surface. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
