I love to color its a love that I never out grew. I used to color with crayons then as I got older I started using crayola twistables. I tried using some colored pencils that I had laying around my house but the lead always broke and the colors were dull.
I was very excited to try the professional art colored pencils when they arrived for I was so hoping they would be better than my old colored pencils plus it would be nice to have a something different to color with.
Not only that the crayola twistables don't have a good point on the end so they were hard to use on tiny lines and corners. This was one of the first things that I noticed about my new colored pencils was that they had a good sharp point.
I love how they come in a black canvas roll up case that has a pleather strap that has two different snaps to close it up with.
The canvas is nice for it can be wash, I can keep it nice and clean. Inside the case is a strong black elastic strap that holds each pencil in individually.
The elastic strap is very strong but it was very easy to pull out one pencil then slide it back it. I like too how the pleather comes up at the bottom of the roll up case so that the bottom of the pencils sit inside for added secure hold on them.
I liked that it comes with a smaller version of The Secret Garden Coloring Book which is 7" by 7" in size and contains 24 pages to color. When I first opened it I though that most of the books drawings were too small but as I begun to color a page their not that bad, I say this because I have to read reading glasses to color and after a while I have to stop for it begins to hurt my eyes.
The book itself has nice pictures and designs to color in fact I was thinking about checking out the regular size coloring book. The pencils themselves are so easy to color with for they are comfortable to hold on to and has a nice sharp point to get into these little spaces.
The lead is strong and very vibrant in color. There is a pencil sharper included that works very good. I like how I have so many, 48 in total, pretty workable colors to choose from each one is so rich in color and true.
It comes with many different shades of blue, green, brown, purple, orange, red and more. I have set my crayola twistables to the side now that I own this set for these pencils are so much easier to work with and the colors are easy to blend and better to shade with.
They are a great value why I paid over $13 for 16 crayola twistables and now I 48 colored pencils with a nice carry case for a better price you'll see when you check them out. I like how I can roll the case up so that it doesn't take up much space making it easier to place them in the drawer.
The roll up case is very well made it has good quality stitching around all the edges. The snaps are well placed and secure plus they are easy to open and close.
This would make a ideal gift for the people in your life that love to color or draw. I will be adding it to my gift list. You can use them to write color notes with too.
